With coal-fired power plant emissions and increasing awareness of environmental quality requirements continues to improve, in which NOX emissions from the pollution problems caused by the increasing attention. Therefore, how to control NOX emissions is at stake. Activated carbon fibers (ACF) as a new carbonaceous material for adsorption, have better adsorption and desorption performance than granular activated carbon (GAC) and powder activated carbon (PAC). Can effective adsorption removal NOX, developed a new method and new techniques for flue gas denitrification.In this paper, in order to improve the removal efficiency of NOX at low-temperature, the ammonium nitrate impregnation ACF modification methods for introduce the oxygen functional groups and nitrogen functional groups and the surface of the ACF were studied. Using modified ACF to make NOX removal experiments. The experiment results confirmed that the modified ACF can removal NOX effectively.Adopted micro-reactor made of modified rayon-based (ACF) denitrification targeted pilot study. Analysis the reaction mechanism and its influencing factors. The results showed that: adequate moisture ACF can effectively improve the adsorption efficiency; The content of the oxygen promoting NO adsorption removal, but when the oxygen content more than 5%, to increase oxygen content would not improve the removal efficiency, too much C-O complex will hinder ACF to adsorb NO, so removal efficiency will decrease; Denitrification efficiency dropped significantly with the initial concentration of NO increasing.According to the data attained from experiments, based on the mechanism analysis, the math model of ACF reactor was established through"compound model method". A gas-solid catalyst reaction kinetics method to carry on analytical, furthermore, the macro reaction velocity equation was implemented using MATLAB programming package and experiment data combined. The mathematical models of the NO concentration distribution were developed in an ACF reactor. The transfer process effect to transfer rate by pollutants removal was researched, and the ACF and GAC transfer process were compared. The inside diffusion resistance of ACF was smaller.Hot air vacuum desorption method was used to study ACF desorption properties, the results showed that the desorption efficiency (η) of 87.8% by ammonium nitrate impregnation ACF method, higher than the sulfuric acid and ammonia impregnation ACF's, which was 78.7%, the desorption effect was improved clearly. At the same time, The preliminary study that the surface characteristics of ACF was affected by this kind of the desorption methods was discussed. In this paper, the removal efficiency of NOX at low-temperature was improved by modification methods, and the methods have advantages to the high-temperature removal methods (SCR/SNCR), which were used currently. Foreground of ACF used for removing pollutant in air pollution control was developed for environment protection. There will be a great significance in developing and domestic of technology for coal-fired pollutants control.
