Reliable wastewater treatment system is the existence and development basic qualification of city, industry and enterprise. Once there is an accident in wastewater treatment plant, it works serious consequences would occur and it is difficult to remedy because of many components and complex equipments in wastewater treatment system. Prevalent suitable method in wastewater treatment system reliability analysis is thought out and studied by taking Huabei petrochemical sewage treatment plant as an example of research.There are many influencing factors on wastewater treatment system reliability such as valve malfunction, machine, electric power, man-made factor, auto control system and environment. Generally speaking, it needs more project investment while improving wastewater treatment system reliability. Whereas, although it could reduce the investment, accidents in sewage treatment system or decrease of sewage disposal capability will result in grater economic losses and more important social influence. It is impossible for all the system works well, so ascertaining system weakness part, adopting corresponding measure, ameliorating system structure and preventing, forecasting and reducing system malfunction should be done in a determinate project investment to improve the reliability by reliability analysis and evaluation.Wastewater treatment system reliability evaluated method is ascertained using compare fault tree analysis and reliability frame chart method, and then wastewater treatment system reliability analysis is carried on by using CAFTA fault tree analysis software while it takes outer wastewater quality out of the standard.WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM RELIABILITY EVALUATING IS STUDIED USING PROBABILITY THEORY OF DEPENDABILITY, RELIABILITY, CAFTA FAULT TREE ANALYSIS THEORY, ET AL. MOST LIKELY MALFUNCTION EQUIPMENT AND OTHER INFLUENCE FACTORS ON SYSTEM WORK IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IS MADE IN CONCLUSION. ALSO, AVERAGE MALFUNCTION INTERVAL IS WORKED OUT. IT IS EXPECTED TO FACILITATE THE OPTIMIZATION DESIGN OF SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, BUILD ECONOMIC, RELIABLE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM AND FACILITATE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM RELIABILITY.
