It is so difficult to polish the aluminum-magnesium alloy automobile wheel surface with the traditional mechanically polish model, and planning tool- path way which used in NC machining can't meet the automobile wheel's requirements, because of surface's complexity and diversity, and the wheel surface error and the special performance of polish tools. Tool-path generation way for automobile wheel polishing and processing error compensation are futher discussed in this paper, according to the exiting production.The limitation of the common complex surface polishing method, and the shortage of automobile wheel polishing way at home and abroad are analysed in this dissertation. The tool-path generation for NC is introudced too. This paper discusses the automobile wheel complex surface mechanical polishing method, and the machine freedom designing. Through a lot of work in demonstrating, the method which extraction the data points on the automobile wheel surface is given.The error of data points and the elastic deformation of grinding head are researched. According to the test, the processing compensation method to data points error and elastic deformation are summarized.The elastic deformation grinder model is established, and the wheel polish feed model is described in detail based on analysing the common feed model. The method which control the polish cutting line width is deduced based on constant scallop height tool path. Using the extraction data points establish the interpolation polynomial, then subdivision the data points, aiming to optimum the tool-path. This dissertation also introduces the approximate way for grinding tool path. The machine machanism of equation the forward solution and inverse solution about position are established.This paper describes the software functional principles and frameworks, the use of Visual C++ Open GL for Visualization. Establishing the automobile wheel polishing database for tool-path. At last, the structure of hardware system and the main circuit are introduced.The scheme meets the requirements for automobile wheel polishing is indicated in the experiment. This polishing method much more efficiently than manual polishing.
