Spray deposition is a new kind of near-net shape metal forming technology which is used to prepare rapid solidification high quality materials with the characteristic of uniform composition, high density, low oxygen tension and small degree of segregation. This technology has come into industrial scale production stage in Europe, America and Japan, while domestic research on spray deposition technology is still basically staying at laboratory or experimental stage. Domestic research in automatic control and intelligent control of spray deposition process has already been launched, however there is still a long time before industrial scale production.Aiming at the industrialized characteristic of spray deposition, process principle of reciprocating spray forming large thick-wall tubular preforms was introduced in this thesis, process method of spray forming large thick-wall irregular tubular performs is brought forward, and the research content and interrelated key technology of the process method have been profoundly analyzed.And the distribution of the mass flux of spray cone and behavior of the deposit track of single layer were studied, a model of deposit of single layer was established on the basis of these research. Aiming at the model and the helix characteristic of the deposit track, the influences of model parameters ( mm ax,a,d ) and mandrel movement parameters (ω,v ) on the deposit behavior ,and the influences of mandrel radius on deposit thickness of single layer were analyzed. Eventually through the simulating of the deposit thickness overlapped by the deposit profiles of multiple circumrotating cycles, the movement parameters(ω,v )of tubular spray forming were optimized. And the concept of irregular tubular contour is put forward, which is that a series of complicated tubular contour are available through changing mandrel movement parameters v continuously, and under the condition that only changing movement parameters v can not meet the demand of changing tubular contour well, it comes to a conclusion that changing movement parameters v and model parameters mm axsimultaneously can control irregular tubular contour preferably and meet design request through simulating and analyzing.The partial study of tubular spray forming in this paper has been implemented well in spray deposition device of aluminium alloy tubes.
