The synthesis and properties of PEN-PET co-polyester in co-polycondensation in this project are studied. PEN-PET co-polyester could be made in two ways. One is the esterification reaction occurred between 2,6-dimethylnaphthalate(2,6-DMN) and dimethyl terephthalate(DMT) and ethylene glycol(EG); or between 2,6-naphthalic acid(2,6-NDA) and pure- terephthalic acid(PTA) and ethylene glycol. The product of this esterification is bis-hydroxyethyl terephthalate(BHET) and bis-hydroxyethyl naphthalate(BHEN). Then the co-polyester as special raw material which be used to make film is generated by the co-polycondensation between BHET and BHEN( before the co-polycondensation the additive for film would be added into the reaction system). Finally, PEN-PET co-polyester is made into capacitor-film.The co-exchange ester reaction and co-esterification kinetics are studied. The results showed that the activation energy of co-exchange ester reaction and co- esterification raise as the content of 2,6-DMN(2,6-NDA)increases, there is a same trend in co-polycondensation.The thermal and crystal properties of co-polyester and disperse properties of silicon dioxidein in co-polyester are studied. The experiment showed that thermal property of co-polyester is better than pure-PET, while crystallinity and crystalize speed are slower than pure-PET, silicon dioxidein pellet disperses well in co-polyester. The co-polyester is made into film after amplification experiment and property test. The results show that dry heat shrinkage and mechanical properties are better than pure-PET film.The synthesis of special raw material for film with co-polyester in industrial production is conducted. According to the characters of the device, co-polyester chip which accord with demands of film chip is made by unique adding method. The 12μm standard capacitor-film is made successfully in 1500t/a plant.The common and electronic properties are suitable for capacitor-film .
