The high-strength and lightweight refractory fibre products, as a new type of saving energy and thermal insulation materials, lead to the broad market and application prospect. However, it can be only used at lower temperature (below 1300℃), because of lower compressive strength, non-uniform strength distribution and poor anti-brushing performance. In this paper, a low bulk specific gravity and heat-transfer refractory fibre products with good high-temperature performance (above 1500℃), strong and even distribution compressive strength, have been prepared by adding additive and effective compound binder into the raw material of alumina refractory fibers.The results indicate that: (1) using 80% alumina fibers as matrix raw materials, the new-type refractory has good comprehensive properties at 1500℃. (2) The structure and performance can be improved by addding top-grade high-containing alumina textile fiber and supplement B. (3) It is necessay to select compound binder of the positive ion starch, the silicon sol and the aluminum sol according to the certain proportion. (4) The pressing process is the best formation method for prepare the fibre products. (5) The main technical indexes of new-type high-strength and lightweight refractory fibre products are as below: the volume weight of 550-580 kg/m3, the cold crush strength of 0.75-0.95 Mpa, the hot crush strength of 1.6-1.9 Mpa at 1500℃, the hot line shrinkage of≤4% at 1500℃.
