Cu/Al2O3 composite material is the most studied dispersion-strengthened copper-based composite materials currently,the material not only has high strength,its electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are similar to pure Cu,but also has good anti-arc erosion and abrasion resistance and higher capacity intensity.As a result of ceramic particles is easy reunion,and is difficult to be infiltrated by metal matrix,which led to bad complex effect and affect various aspects of performance.Cu/Al2O3 composite prepared by chemical plating powder can effectively improve the invasive of Cu and Al2O3,also the composite powders have th separate identities of nano-Al2O3 and Cu.In light of the above purpose,the paper has prepared Cu/Al2O3 composite powder with coating uniformity,good composite performance coated evenly and controllable Cu content through the method of electroless copper plating on the nano-Al2O3 powder. Moerover,the sintering behavior of composite powders has been researched.The average size of Al2O3 powder used in the experiment is 50-100nm,the best pre-treatment process of nano-Al2O3 powder by electroless copper plating has been optimized;the bath composition and plating process are:CuSO4:30g/L,EDTA-2Na:45g/L, HCHO:15ml/L,K4[Fe(CN)6]·3H2O:20mg/L.NaOH:20g/L,CH3OH:100ml/L, temperature:room temperature,pH value:13,loadage:10g/L.Furthermore,the influence of the plating bath composition and processing conditions on the plating rate also has been in-depth studied,through based powder to observe The Surface morphology of the powders was analyzed by the S-3400N SEM and EDAX.The phase composition of composite powder was also tested through Japan's Ricoh X-ray diffraction Analysis,the results showed that the Cu evenly coated nano Al2O3 powder surface.In this paper,Cu/Al2O3 composite powder was sintered without pressure,mainly studying the impact of relative density of sintered bodies from pre-processing of composite powders,molding pressure,sintering temperature and holding time,and analyzing the surface morphology of sintered bodies by SEM.It is concluded that the best sintering process were:forming pressure:420MPa,sintering temperature 1000℃,holding time:1h.
