The plate products are widely used in many fields such as pipeline of petroleum and natural gas,shipping,bridge,container,boiler,oceanic component,construction and so on.In rolling,non-uniform spread results in non-rectangular plates,causing yield loss.In the plate production,increasing product yields by reducing crop losses is one of the most prominent ways to save energy consumption and reach cost down purpose,which largely affects the enterprise economic interests.The objective of plan view pattern control technique is to achieve the final plate pattern as rectangular as possible,thus improving plate yield,by optimizing the rolling schedules.This technology is undeveloped in our country and worthwhile to carry out systemic investigation.So it is significant to study the plan view pattern control technique for improving plate yield and plate quality and to save conserve energy.The papers primary study the deformation rule of the plate with FEM simulation software.To geometrical,material and contact nonlinear,by means of ANSYS/LS-DYNA,the element,which has geometrical nonlinear option,could be used.As for material nonlinear,the elastic-plastic model-Bilinear Isotropic Model,3D solid 164 elements with 8 nodes and set corresponding element option and parameters was introduced.For the contact linear,the contact could be set auto-contact.The mechanical model was established and the load case has been submitted.The result was outputted by the LS-PREPOST to make it visualized.In this study,the research and apply progress of plan view pattern control technology is reviewed and summarized,and some typical of plan view control technology is introduced.The fundamental theory of plate rolling deformation and elastoplastic finite element method(FEM) is given.In order to improve yield of plate for the purpose,plan view pattern control simulation of the plate rolling was performed using the dynamic explicit finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Observed from the simulation,the plan view pattern of after single pass rolling presented convex end shape and concave side shape,continue to simulate the effect of the plate rolling conditions on the plan view pattern was obtained.In order to verify the reliable of the result of finite element analysis,to do physical simulation experiments under the same rolling conditions with finite dement simulation,and comparative analysis of physical simulation experiment results and finite element simulation results,test and verify the correctness and reliability of finite element simulation results. In this study,the finite element analysis and physical experiment is used to study plan view pattern control technique,obtains the rule of the plan view pattern of after single pass rolling presented convex end shape and concave side shape,and obtains the rule of simulate the effect of the plate rolling conditions on the plan view pattern.Hope the presented rules could establish the theoretical basement of improving our plate production level.
