Study Of Contamination Analysis And Renovation For Bajiang River In Huadu District Guangzhou City

As one of the main source of drinking water,Bajiang River is the mother river of people in Huadu District,Guangzhou City.In this paper,through investigate the pollution of Bajiang River, based on a long-term water quality monitoring,evaluated of the pollution research,a scientific, rational,workable renovation has been brought forward for the pollution control.The monitoring results of the three sections in Bajiang River from 2003 to 2007 have showed the following results:the degree of pollution decreases from lower reaches,middle reaches to upper reaches.Water pH was stable.Dissolved oxygen,phosphorus,oil and LAS regularly change,the worst in dry season and the best in high-flow period.Total nitrogen,COD_Cr, BOD₅ and ammonia nitrogen remained stable,no change regularly.Inferred from the results of water quality monitoring:the main sources of pollution concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the river,mainly by the urban domestic sewage,agricultural non-point source pollution,as well as the ships point source pollution.Water quality evaluation of Bajiang River showed that:dissolved oxygen,COD_Cr,BOD₅, ammonia nitrogen,phosphorus,oil and so on.Many monitoring indexes are over-criterion.The river is mainly to organic pollution,increased the pollution a slight increase in 2004,increased substantially emerged in 2007.River water belongs to the moderate pollution.Renovation of Bajiang River needs a series of programs and works.Do a good job on environmental planning and division of drinking water source protection areas.Control the pollution,stringent controlling of industrial pollution enterprises,intercepting the sewage on the coast,supporting the construction of sewage treatment plants.Control of agricultural non-point source pollution,and to closely monitor the upper reaches of cross-border pollution. Improvement of existing waterways,embankments and piers,to strengthen the management of transport ships.To carry out ecological governance,establish the bank of "close to nature",build wetlands on an appropriate site.Periodically stocking fishes and other useful aquatic animals, and cultivate of the river communities.Transfer water from the Bajiang River,adjusting the flow of water,using the fresh water to wash polluted water,improving water quality and enhancing water self-purification capacity.At the same time,to strengthen environmental propaganda and enhance the environmental awareness of citizens to form a good social atmosphere.
