In this paper,the cross-linking degree of cellulosic hydroxyl was compared according to the dye uptake of cationic dye treated by different methods.Chloroethyl sodium sulfonate(CAS)was selected to make anionic cotton fabric,which was then cross-linked with cationic chitosan.The nitrogen content,grafting ratio,antibacterial performance and crease recovery angle etc.were measured.The dyeing performance of acid dye on cationic cotton fabric and color fastness to light and wash of treated fabric were discussed.IR spectrogram was given to illustrate the reaction mechanism of ionic cross-linking and the optimum condition of fabric cation was determined.The influence of catalyst SHP in CHTAC/BTCA cross-linking system on fabric was studied and the optimum catalytic condition was determined compared to the environment-friendly catalyst SN.EPTAC is generated from CHTAC in alkalescence and then react with cellulose to bring it positive charge and then the cotton fabric with positive charge crosslink with BTCA.Cellulosic fabric with positive charge can be dyed by acid dye.The best process of fabric anion with CAS is padding→drying→cold pad-batch and the optimum process is CAS 100 g/L,CC 6%,curing tmp.140℃,curing time 120s.The influence importance of all the factors in SN catalytic system of CHTAC/BTCA is as follows:curing temperature→SN concentration→curing time.Sodium hypophosphite and sodium nitrate have the similar catalytic effect in CHTAC/BTCA ionic cross-linking system,while the former does no harm to the environment.The optimum process of cotton fabric durable press finishing with BTCA after treated by CHTAC is:mass concentration of SN 5%,curing temp.180℃,curing time 120s.The crease recovery angle of treated fabric by the optimum process can reach 217°.
