In order to obtain the electromagnetic shielding material which is lightweight and high strength, lightweight flakeboard was selected to be the substrate, comparing the properties of three kinds of activated method and it was activated using copper salts respectively in this study. After the electroless copper plating, the flakeboard turned to electric cell which was made by hot-press with bicomponent epoxy, and it turned to electromagnetic shielding materials at last. The interior of this electromagnetic shielding composite material was multi-layer different directions electromagnetic, which made two-dimensional electromagnetic shielding structure of traditional electromagnetic shielding to be the three-dimensional electromagnetic shielding structure. The electromagnetic shielding effectiveness was increased greatly because of this multi-layer different directions conductive unit of electromagnetic shielding materials. In this paper, structural characteristics, conductive properties and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the new electromagnetic shielding materials were investigated. Experimental data is analyzed using SPSS software. and It indicated that the reasonable ratio of main components of the electroless copper plating liquor were: copper sulfate 80g / L, K-Na tartrate (TART) 20 g / L, EDTA ? 2Na40g/L, potassium ferrocyanide 3g /L , reducing agent ,α,α'-dipyridy and PEG-400 ,The average volume-resistance of this electromagnetic shielding material was tested by Four Probes (RTS-8) and the average resistance was 0.275?·cm. In the testing of Hertzian waves at 9kHz-1.5GHz, the average effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding was 60.44dB, it fully meet the requirement which the average effectiveness standard of civilian Electromagnetic Shielding Material was 35dB at least.
