In this paper,we focus on the preparation, characterization of polyurethane- polyacrylate hybrid latex.embrace three aspects:1,Waterborne polyurethane latex (MCPU) with ionic groups in the soft segments were synthesized use MCO as polyol according to prepolymer mixing process. The effects of polymerization temperature, chain extender, the molar ratio (R) of NCO to OH on emulsion and its films properties were investigated; The properties were good with the contents of NCO was 20-25%. 2,MCPUA ) hybrid emulsion was synthesized, using MCPU as seed to copolymer with acrylate(MMA,BA).Study showed that double bonds disappeared of MCPU and there was copolymer between MCPU and PA;Using composite initiator(AIBN,KPS)increased the monomer conversion and water resistance of the film. The effects of contents of MCO and acrylate monomer, quality ratio of hard to soft segment and polymerization temperature on emulsion and its films.GDPU seed emulsion was prepared using GD (synthesized by DETA and GMA) as chain extender, then by copolymering with acrylate(MMA,BA),we synthesized GDPUA hybrid emulsion. Study showed that PU-graft-PA consisted in GDPUA hybrid emulsion, Introducing GD could improve mechanical properties and water resistance of GDPU and GDPUA.
