1.Terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) was synthesized through the phase transfer catalysis with terephthalic acid(PTA) and thionyl chloride(SOCl2) as materials. FTIR showed that the target product was synthesized successfully;DSC showed that the melting point of the product was 83℃and the boiling point was 259℃; XRD indicated that the product was crystal. The influence of the material ratio and phase transfer catalyst content on the yield was studied. The results showed that the yield was high to 98%when n(PTA):n(SOCl2) was 1:3 and phase transfer catalyst content was 2%.2.N1,N4-bis(2-hydroxyethy1)-terephthaloy1 amide(BAET) was prepared with TPC and ethanolamine(MEA).The target product was proved by FTIR and 1H-NMR;DSC showed that BAET had two melt peaks because of its imperfect crystallization;TG showed that the thermal decomposition temperature of BAET was 299℃;XRD indicated that it was crystal. The influence of the material ratio on the yield and hydroxyl value was studied. The results showed that the yield was high to 96.60%,hydroxyl value was about 54 mgKOH/g when n(TPC):n(MEA): was 1:3.3.N1,N1,N4,N4-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethy1)-terephthaloyl amide(TAET) was prepared with TPC and diethanolamine(DEA).The target product was proved by FTIR;DSC showed that the melting point was 178℃;XRD indicated that it was crystal. The influence of the material ratio on the yield and hydroxyl value was studied. The results showed that the yield was high to 83.72%,hydroxyl value was about 141mgKOH/g,when n(TPC):n(MEA) was 1:4.These two different curing agents were used to cure carboxy-polyester resin, and the performances of the film after curing were studied.4.Alternating polyesteramide(PEA)was synthesized by solution polycondensation with TPC and BAET.FTIR showed that the acyl chloride had reacted with hydroxyl groups, the amide and ester carbonyl peak appeared at the same time, which further indicated of the successful synthesis of the target product; DSC and TG showed that PEA decomposed at 295℃without melting, possibly more because of the benzene ring structure making the rigidity of the molecular chain increasing and the hydrogen bonding of inter-molecular chain;XRD showed that the product was polymer and partly crystal.5.Two sorts of PEA were synthesized by solution polycondensation with PTA/ adipic acid(AA) and BAET.FTIR proved that two chain structure of PEA were successfully synthesized. The thermal properties was contrasted by DSC and TG, The result showed that PTA/BAET product decomposed without melting, but AA/BAET product melted at 174℃,That may be because of the flexible chain of AA which allowed polymer chain conformation changed more easily.6.Polyesteramide is synthesized by high-temperature solution polycondensation with TPC and TAET.FTIR proved the desired reaction had taken place;DSC showed that the product decomposed near 378℃;XRD showed that the product was polymer and partly crystal. There wasn't producing gel throughout the whole reaction process. The results showed that it is feasible to synthesize the monomer in low temperature at the first, and then synthesize polyesteramide at a higher temperature.
