The leakage of the gas station buried storage tanks and the municipal landfill leachate is one of the important factors leading to soil and groundwater pollution. So it is an urgent task for environmentalists to study how to monitor and prevent underground environment from further pollution. A three-dimensional online monitoring system is put the landfill and the gas station underground in advance, which can not only confirm the occurrence of leakage, pinpoint the leakage location and estimate the numbers of the leakage, but also detect the shape of pollution plume according to the abnormal area of the profiles corresponding with spatial distribution of polluted area. When leakage occurs in monitored the site, the physical and chemical properties of soils will change, which leads to changes of electricity and natural potential of underground soil. In the dynamic monitoring of the indoor experiments before, the self-designed three-dimensional electrical monitoring system has been the success of a dynamic monitoring of landfill leachate pollution of underground aquifers, but their use is the artificial soil layer, and sensor system is restricted by the size, there is the larger difference between the actual situation. In order to check the practicality of three-dimensional dynamic monitoring system, scale up the sensor system for the field of real underground soil pollution monitoring. In this paper, first of all to carry out simulation experiments of the high and low resistance pollution, prove the feasibility of system in-situ. At the same time, carry out the experimental measurements of the natural potential of the underground pollution, providing a rapid method to leakage monitoring. In addition, in order to quantitatively study the spread of pollution underground, using the reducing value of the context data processing method, can more accurately reflect the three-dimensional trends of pollution plume. Finally, a case study of a petroleum-contaminated areas of the Yellow River observation shows the actually polluted areas are well corresponding with the distribution of abnormal zone. The study results make clear of the change law of electric property and resistivity abnormity of different underground media polluted by pollution, the system of the feasibility in the practical application is proved and supply theoretical and practical base for the execution of systems of monitoring and prewarning the leakage pollution of the landfill leachate and gas station oil tank.
