The preparation of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass-ceramics/ceramics combined tile has been well researched in the recent years. As a new material, the researches mainly highlight the sintering method while the body crystallization method was merely mentioned. This paper focuses preparing glass-ceramics and glass-ceramics ceramics combined tile by body crystallization method.In this paper, the CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass-ceramics of whose main crystallization phase isβ–wollastonite was prepared by body crystallization method. And ZrO2, TiO2, P2O5 and CaF2 were introduced as nucleating agent into glass. The different effect of each nucleating agent on crystallization behavior, mechanical properties and chemic resistance of glass-ceramics were investigated with different thermal analysis(DTA), X-ray diffractometry(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), mechanical and chemical resistance measurement.By putting special glass slice on the porcelain tile and then heating for crystallization according to designed temperature curve, glass-ceramics/ceramics combined tile with glass - ceramics as surface and normal ceramic as matrix has been obtained. After plenty of tests, porcelain tile was finally chosen as the matrix. The thermal expansion coefficient of the surface matches that of the matrix after adjusting glass formula and heat treatment. And finally, the sample of glass-ceramics/ceramics combined tiles were tested by certain national and industry standards, such as GB/T 3810.3-2006 and JC/T 994-2006.The experimental results show that ZrO2,TiO2 and P2O5 as nucleating agent can not effectively prompt crystallization of glass. But is was found that in CaF2 containing samples,crystallization, mechanical properties and chemic resistance of glass-ceramics were improved by increasing of CaF2 amount. With the increase of CaF2 amount, crystallization temperature of the glass decreases and its crystallization ability increases, the crystalline shape was changed from the grain to the needle. The suitable heating treatment of body crystallization method for preparing glass-ceramics/ceramics combined tile is at 800~860℃holding 1 hour and at 950~1050℃holding 1 hour. The main crystalline phase isβ–wollastonite. The surface crystallization mechanism of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass-ceramics was described,the growth orientation of crystalline phase is vertical on the surface of glass. Glass-ceramics/ceramics combined tile prepared by body crystallization method accord with experiment aim,also have good micro hardness, specular gloss, mechanical properties, frozen and chemic resistance.
