The rare earth Polymer materials have attracted considerable interests in exploring luminous energy and materials. Their rare earth ions have good luminescent characteristics and high color purity, and their organic compounds have advantage of low excited energy required, high fluorescence efficiency and good solubility in organic solvent. In this paper, rare earth complexes were studied as luminous materials and a series of photoluminescence materials EuxTb1-x(BA)3Phen were synthesized.Rare earth organic luminous materials with BA and 1,10-phen as organic ligands were prepared in which Eu3+ ion, having good luminous efficiency, was chosen , at the same time , Tb3+ ion, which can sensitize Eu3+, was introduced. What's more, their spectroscopic properties, process and mechanism of sensitization, energy transfer processes and nonlinear optical properties were developed through uv-vis spectrum, excitation spectrum, fluorescence spectra and Z-scanning experiment.As a result, rare earth complexes as-synthesized EuxTb1-x(BA)3Phen have excellent luminous performance.
