Oil-soluble spheres silica nanoparticles were synthesized using silicate ester as precursor of silica by surface-modification in situ.The mechanism for formation of the Oil-soluble spheres silica nanoparticles was also studied.The tribological properties as lubricating additives,the effect and mechanism of decreasing pressure was obtained. Based on the above results,the following main conclusions are reached:1.Preparation and tribological properties of oil-soluble surface modified sio2 nanospheresUsing liquid phase chemical method,oil-soluble surface modified sio2 nanospheres were preparation using silicate ester as precursor of silica by surface-modification in situ.By controlling of different temperature and solvent can obtained Oil-soluble spheres silica nanoparticles of the controlling of size.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)were used to characterize the structure modified sio2 nanoparticles.The results show that the modified nanoparticles prepared in this work have the common features such as stable and highly dispersibility in organic solvents, etc.2.The tribological properties of the oil-soluble spheres sio2 nanoparticles as lubricant additivesThe tribological properties of the modified Cu and oil-soluble spheres SiO2nanoparticles and nano-SiO2 particles as lubricant additives were evaluated.The results show that the oil-soluble SiO2 nanoparticles have the unique properties with friction-reduction,anti-wear and load-carrying capacity.Oil-soluble Si02 nanoparticles as additives of lubricating oil and greases shows good antiwear and friction reducing properties.Their tribological properties are also closely relevant to the structure of suface-modifiers and silica morphologies.
