When electric fire happened in close room,it could produce a lot of smoke.Therefore,it is hard to put out the fire,evacuate people who in the fire and salvage materials for firemen.The method of using water to eliminate smoke could destroy the machines and further result in the economic loss without any condition of smoke eliminating.Negative corona discharge was applied widely in the field of electrostatic precipitation.In addition,honeycomb ceramic was also used in the decontamination of automobile exhaust.According to the widely apply of negative corona discharge and honey comb ceramic,this study combine the two techniques in order to research the best setup of smoke eliminating.The way of corona discharge was used as circle edge - cylindrical,the effects of electrode distance,circle edge distance and the number of circle edge on discharge electric power,the effects of the width of honey comb ceramic and different wind speed on ability of smoke eliminating were research in this study.The results indicated that:(1)The electric power of the setup was larger if electrode distance was smaller and the number of circle edge was more.In addition,if circle edge distance was over the range of interaction,there was no effect on discharge electric power.(2)Through the study of electric power and dust collecting range of collecting electrode, the appropriate parameters are as follows:the number of circle edges is 2,circle edges distance is 60 mm,electrode distance is 15 mm,input voltage is 28 kV.Gas speed impacts the effect of corona discharge smoke eliminating and honeycomb ceramic smoke eliminating,the suitable gas speed is 0.8 m/s.(3)The channels will be blocked if concentration of particles is too high.The concentration needs to be reduced.Considering the thickness of honeycomb ceramic will cause pressure lose of gas,and increase the pressure of fans,the suitable thickness of honeycomb ceramic is 50 mm.(4)The combination of electrostatic field and honeycomb ceramic can eliminat smoke fastly.The concentration of particles was down to 0.3 mg/L within 2 min.
