In this thesis, the PC-SAFT and density gradient theory (DGT) are used to construct a non-uniform equation of state (EOS) for the investigation of phase equilibria and interfacial properties of supercritical CO2 and hydrocarbon mixtures. The model parameters are determined by fitting to the experimental data. By using the regressed model parameters and the bulk properties as input, the surface tensions of CO2-butane, CO2-decane, CO2-benzene, CO2-cyclohexane and CO2-tetradecane mixtures are predicted. The relationship between the surface tensions and the operation conditions like temperature and pressure is demonstrated.
