With the development of society, energetic materials with high energy performance and low sensitivity characteristics were needed. Cyclodextrins and their derivatives have the ability to form inclusion complexes with a wide variety of organic compounds, which enter partly or entirely into the cavity of theirs. Therefore they can act as molecular encapsulants to protect sensitive substrates from oxidation, light-induced decompositions and heat-induced changes, and so on. So the formation of inclusion complexes ofβ-CD with RDX, HMX were studied at first, thenβ-CD nitrate esters were prepared Through the method of nitrification and separation, The formation of inclusion complexes ofβ-CD nitrate esters (β-CDN) with energetic materials RDX and HMX were studied at the end.1. The formation of inclusion complexes ofβ-CD with energetic materials RDX, HMX were studied by means of UV-vis. which indicated that the formation of 1:1 host-gust type inclusion complexes betweenβ-CD and RDX (or HMX). The solid inclusion complexes were prepared by the method of saturated solution and characterized by IR and XRD. The results indicated that the formation of the inclusion complexes.2. Through the method of nitrification and separation, the pureβ-CD nitrate esters were obtained. The properties of the product were characterized by IR and Elemental Analysis, Which indicate six kinds ofβ-CD nitrate esters were prepared, the quantities of nitrate ester group (–ONO2) are 6, 11, 14, 16, 17 and 18.3. The formation of inclusion complexes ofβ-CD nitrate esters (β-CDN) with energetic materials RDX (or HMX) were studied by means of UV-vis, which indicated that the formation of 1:1 host-gust type inclusion complexes betweenβ-CD nitrate esters (β-CDN) and RDX, HMX. The solid inclusion complexes were prepared by the method of saturated solution and characterized by FT-IR, DSC, XRD and HMR. The results indicated that the formation of the inclusion compounds. 4. The impact sensitivity h50 of the inclusion complexes were measured .The results show that the impact sensitivity h50 of inclusion complexes ofβ-CD nitrate esters (β-CDN) with RDX (or HMX) were decreased along with the decreasing of the quantities of nitrate ester group on theβ-CDN molecules.
