The Effects Of Charge-transfer To Light-emitting Properties Of Some Inorganic Compounds

Inorganic optical materials as functional materials have been widely used in the field of display and other instruments for decades.In recent years,lots of efforts have been devoted and a number of new inorganic optical materials were obtained.A variety of different color light-emitting phosphors were successfully developed by means of being doped rare earth ions or other ions in the aluminate,silicate, phosphate,borate and sulfur oxides.However,in 1998 an unusual luminescent inorganic oxide,Sr₂CeO₄,was identified by Earl Danielson et.al.It appears blue-white luminescence that originates from a ligand-to-metal Ce⁴⁺ charge transfer.
