Inorganic optical materials as functional materials have been widely used in the field of display and other instruments for decades. In recent years, lots of efforts have been devoted and a number of new inorganic optical materials were obtained.A variety of different color light-emitting phosphors were successfully developed by means of being doped rare earth ions or other ions in the aluminate, silicate, phosphate, borate and sulfur oxides. However,in 1998 an unusual luminescent inorganic oxide,Sr2CeO4,was identified by Earl Danielson et.al.It appears blue-white luminescence that originates from a ligand-to-metal Ce4+ charge transfer. Considering Sr2CeO4 and Ca2SnO4 are isomorphisms,in this paper we studied the luminescent properties and their mechanism of phosphors Ca2SnO4:M(M=Ce4+, Ti4+ and Zr4+)).In addition,a bluish violet phosphorescent phosphor Ca3SnSi2O9:Bi and a novel white light emitting long lasting phosphorescent material Ca3SnSi2O9: Dy3+ was reported in this article as well. The thesis is composed of five charpters:In chapterâ… ,the basic principles of photoluminescence materials, some luminescence materials originated from charge transfer and the study of long lasting phosphors and their mechanism were briefly introduced. In chapterâ…¡,the preparation methods and testing means of phosphors in the thesis studied were introduced. The luminescent properties and their mechanism of phosphors Ca2SnO4:M(M=Ce4+,Ti4+ and Zr4+) were studied in charperâ…¢.A bluish violet light emitting phosphorescent material Ca3SnSi2O9:Bi was discussed in charpterâ…£.A white light emitting long lasting phosphor Ca3SnSi2O9:Dy3+ was reported in charpterâ…¤.
