The rare earth complexes present many unique chemical and physical properties because the rare earth elements have special electronic configuration and a variety of electronic energy levels. Rare earth complexes have the characteristic of linear emission spectra, ideal excitation and emission wavelength, longer fluorescent lifetime, and the characteristic emission wavelength is not be affected by the host, so they are widely used in luminescence fields. Rare-earth organic fluorescent complexes have an excellent luminescence properties, but its fatal weakness is light and heat instability, which limits their use space. It is practiced that the introducing the rare earth complexes into inorganic matrix can enhance its stability, so study of rare earth complexe / SiO2 hybrid luminescence materials is very important for the application of rare earth complexes.In this thesis, rare earth complex nanoparticles with different morphologies were prepared by hydrothermal and liquid phase method, the complex/SiO2 nanospheres and nanotubes were synthesized by sol-gel method, in order to enhance the stability of heat and light. TEM, SEM, XRD, FTIR and PL measurements were used to characterize the samples, and some new results have been obtained, which will laid the foundation for further studies on the properties of rare earth complexes. The composite materials have potential application value in the biological track, photonic crystals, luminescence and display, micro-cavity lasers, data storage, nano-sensors and other fields.
