This paper study on preparation of melamine formaldehyde moulding materials, and with polyethylene glycol and benzoguanamine modifing, moulding materiel has a well performance then before. formaldehyde emission is reduced by the improving process and using formaldehyde scaverger.First, Melamine Formaldehyde Moulding materials were prepared by Melamine Formaldehyde resin andα-cellulose. Effects of preparation technology on the properties of moulding materials were studied. Results showed that the moulding materials performanced a better quality when the moler ratio of melamine to formaldehyde was 1:2.5, water turbidity was 1:3, the content of cellulose was 42~48%, the particle size of moulding powder was 100~120 mesh. Imported pulp has a best mechanical property in all kinds of reinforcers,but the flow rate is the lowest;Compared with imported pulp,Fir fiber which made in china have a same impact strength, bending strength is a bit poor,but the flow rate is superior to imported pulp; Hemp fibers, woodiness fiber and rock cotton fiber have a poor mechanical property,but they all have a good flow rate; Moulding materials whinch use aspen wood as reinforcer has met the required standards,but the cost is the lowest;Compared with using a type of reinforcer,using two types of reinforcer have a well combination property.Secondly, with polyethylene glycol and benzoguanamine modified melamine formaldehyde moulding materiel, the result shows that when the amount of polyethylene glycol is about 5% or the amount of benzoguanamine is about 7%, the modification effect is the best.Finally, By reducing the formaldehyde and melamine's the mole ratio, using the vacuum drying type, and adding 0.5% melamine,0.5% methenamine and 0.5% casein as formaldehyde scaverger, the Formaldehyde Emission from moulding materials is reduced to 1.85mg/L.
