In this paper, furniture casters as a pressure measuring head, the use of compression indentation test to study the three-layer parquet lasting hardness characteristics. Research results provide a scientific basis for the development and design of three-layer parquet. It has great practical significance in determining a reasonable thickness of three-layer parquet material and in saving precious resources such as hard wood.In this paper, studied a durable hardness testing and analysis in a range of three-layer parquet samples of different surface thickness in which Poplar as a substrate, Quercus, Teak, Oak, Tonka beans for two surfaces, with a total thickness of 15mm.Major findings as following:1. The indentation depth of three-layer parquet surface layer, in the early pressure, is rapid increase in the deepening of the depth indentation. When the pressure last for more than 10-15 days, the deepening of the depth of indentation is very slow or even stop.2. The same material three-layer parquet, the smaller the thickness of surface layer, the deeper indentation. The same thickness of surface layer materials of three different species parquet, the indentation depth from deep to shallow followed by Teak, Quercus, Oak, Tonka beans.3. When the thickness of three-layer parquet surface layer more than 3.5mm, the indentation depth of oak slightly lower than the high density Tonka beans. But when the thickness of three-layer parquet surface layer 3.5mm below , the difference is great between the two.4. When the three-layer parquet in thickness of 2mm and 2.5mm, the maximum indentation depth is after 20 days. When the three-layer parquet in thickness of 3.5mm and 4.0mm,the maximum indentation depth is after 30 days.5. Casters surface with soft materials, samples in oak material, surface layer thickness of 0.6mm, indentation depth is only 0.6-0.7 compare with ordinary casters, surface layer thickness of 1.2mm, indentation depth is only 0.7-0.8 compare with ordinary casters.6. Furniture casters in samples of Tonka beans surface in 2mm thickness after the finishing, the indentation depth of the sample did just reach the 1/2 of the no finishing one.
