Lixiviation-Extraction-Electrodeposition technology is increasingly concerned because of its advantages such as simple process, low investment, short term of setting up infrastructure, high efficiency and pollution-free, etc. Extraction is the most important process among the whole three processes, devoting to producing high-quality electrolytic metal.Based on survey and research on related literature, the article also systematic researched Cu and Ni recovery and utilization technology of Zhejiang Lande Science&Technology company. After doing experiments and researching, the article confirmed a fixed solvent extraction method to extract Cu and Ni.BK992 Cu extractant, using sulfonic paraffin as diluent, is a newly acidulous extractant used in Hydrometallurgy of Cu extraction and owns good chemical stability. Compared to LIX984 produced by Henkel Corporation, BK992 has comparable ability in Cu extraction from wet-process metallurgy lixivium that produced from low-quality oxidized ores and sulphide ores. The article studied the Cu extraction behavior of BK992 when in solutions for stripping metal coatings (nitric acid) and researched related influencing factors such as the density of extractant, oil/liquid ratio, extraction time and temperature. It also discussed many kinds of optimizing methods. The result showed that BK992 is a good extraction and has a high capacity of loading Cu. BK992 owns a high factor of extracting Cu from Fe and extraction Cu from Ni. It also has high speed of extraction and anti-extraction. The optimized conditions of BK992 extractant used for Cu extraction in solutions for stripping metal coatings (nitric acid) are as follows: the ratio is 1:1; the density of BK.992 is 20 %; the PH is 2; extraction time lasts for 5 min and extraction in room temperature. The first extraction ratio of BK992 reached over 78 %. The saturated extraction quantity is 19665 ppm and the net transitive quantity reaches 17383 ppm. Compared to LIX984, BK992 owns comparable property but lower price.Based on Cu extraction, P204 was chosen to extracting Ni and jarosite was chosen to remove Fe, so as to change nitric acid type of nickel salt into nickel-rich sulfate and make it suitable for electrodeposition. The above technology is available for its simple operation, small extracting progression and low investment. This waste liquor treatment technology can not only contribute to environmental protection, and also reclaim chemical material from the solutions for stripping metal coatings, benefiting greatly in environmental, economic and social aspects.
