Metal-polysilicate Coagulants have drawn much attention in the filed of waste water treatment because of its easy availability, innocuity, and low cost And also its becomes one of hotspot in the research of inorganic coagulation at home and abroad. In this thesis, metal-polysilicate coagulants are used combined with polyacrylamide (PAM). Our experimental results show that pH, dose, stirring time, and stirring rate are the main factors which can influence the flocculating effect. Good flocculants and optimized conditions are obtained in consideration of the cost. Based on the effect of pH and dose on two simulated dying waste water which respectively contain reactive yellow and water-soluble sulfide black, the optimized inhaling wavelength, absorbancy and decolour, pH for the best TOC removal efficiency and dose for these two kind of waste water are determined by the spectrophotometric method. Our research indicated that the application of this metal-polysilicate coagulant has many advantages, e.g. good treatment efficiency, operational simplicity and low cost. Moreover, this technology basing on "using waste to treat waste" theory can avoid the secondary pollution.
