Converter suspension reducer is a key component to realize the steelmaking production. It has characteristics such as the low speed heavy loaded, starting and braking frequently. Its complex structure, adverse working environment and so on causes the failure of suspension reducer. Once converter suspension reducer happen serious failures, it leads to the long time of stop production and replacement parts, which causes enormous economic losses. Therefore, its performance needs in real-time monitoring. Improve the fault signal monitoring, analysising and processing capability has been a priority. This paper is to study dynamics analysis and the failure diagnosis system software's development of converter suspension reducer. Developed software can real-time reflect the running status, judge the equipment problems that may appear, prevent the occurrence of heavy accidents.First, it introduces converter suspension reducer's structure and dynamics analysis. System simplifies mechanical model of three-mass system. Through the establishment movement simultaneous differential equations it solves the system's natural frequency, the angular displacement of the torsion vibration and torsion vibration torque. To understand the converter suspension reducer's vibration characteristic, for correctly operating and maintaining facilities, analysis and solution equipment failure, it can provide the help.Secondly, it describes the converter suspension reducer's major failure form, vibration mechanism and the main features of the frequency of failure. In view of suspension reducer's operational features, it gives the signal processing and the failure diagnosis method. The choice of time domain statistical characteristics analysis carries on the simple diagnosis to converter suspension reducer. The techniques of power spectrum, detailed spectrum, the envelope spectrum, wavelet analysis and so on carry on the precision diagnosis to converter suspension reducer. The fault signal can be extracted the characteristics value, the accumulation of data samples as a BP neural network fault recognition to converter suspension reducer's intelligent diagnosis.Finally, converter suspension reducer as a monitoring object, choose the measuring points and the monitor signal reasonably, develop a converter suspension reducer online monitoring fault diagnosis system. It elaborates the design and development of the system hardware and software. Based Delphi high-performance development platform, effectively use the powerful scientific computing features and rich toolbox of Matlab. Software function modules include: online monitoring, signal analysis, fault diagnosis as well as database management, etc. According to the needs, it can carry on the expansion modules. Monitoring system can reflect the work process simultaneously, completely and real-time, reasonable to store and manage data, correctly monitor equipment status, carry on the analysis of the abnormal state of suspension reducer. Make the judgment promptly, diagnose the fault category and the reason accurately which possibly occurs, avoid having a major accident effectively.
