Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a kind of excellent macromolecular polymers, with thickening, flocculation, drop resistance, decentralization, and other characteristics ,which has been widely used in oil exploitation, water treatment, paper, mining and metallurgy, textile, coal, geology and building industries .Along with the increasingly widespread use of it, profound research about PAM has been made gradually, however, confined to the initiating system for polymerization, for its main raw material - acrylamide, Particularly deep study on impurities in the biochemical acrylamide is still not enough, so when analyzing polyacrylamide the product quality of which exceeded standard, often no suitable explanation was offered .During process of hydration production technology by intracellular free cell ,the impurities is inevitable brought into acrylamide solution , while uncertain factors in the course of biological culture would lead to side effects during the production of acrylamide , the existence of these impurities will reduce the monomer activity, or generation cross-linked polyacrylamide products, resulting decline in product quality.Based on PAM production of biochemical technology, the effects of formaldehyde, acetonitrile, acrylic polymer and other impurities in aqueous solution on the quality of products have been studied seriously, followed by optimization of refined treatment, ion-exchange resins experiment, membrane filtration, control parameters and centrifuge process, by which the effects of impurities on the quality of products are gradually reduced, improving quality standards of product.The results showed that:â‘ The growth, metabolism and product synthesis of acrylonitrile synthase could be controlled ,as well as the best indicators of activity could be obtained by regulating temperature, the environment pH, dissolved oxygen, and other indicators rationally.â‘¡With the centrifugal and membrane filtration system parameters in a scientific style, impurities in macromolecules could be removed ,thus reduce the organic pollution to ion-exchange resins.â‘¢macroporous resin is conducive to dealing with biological and chemical acrylamide in aqueous solution of the impurities, for its unique nonporous structure thereby enhancing the quality of polyacrylamide products.
