With the rapid development of general machinery, agricultural machinery industry and a growing emphasis on the technical requirements of automobile's weight reduction,the aluminum alloy forgings'requirements of general machinery,agricultural machinery and the market of components of micro-car are showing a trend of rapid growth.Especially,the needs of the complex aluminum alloy forgings are more prominent.The pattern of traditional upsetting and simple squeeze deformation will lead to the situation of a low utilization rate of the material,low productivity, high cost of production to the complex shape of the aluminum alloy forgings,and thus lacking of competitiveness in the market competition. Consequently, in order to improve the quality of its process and mechanical properties index and meet the needs of small gasoline engine's technical requirements and production requirements ,it is necessary to research and develop accurate forging deformation technology of high-strength aluminum alloy connecting rod forging.This dissertation roundups the status of development of the aluminum alloy connecting rod at home and abord and introduce the characteristics , classification and applications of aluminum and luminum alloy. In connection with the shape and structural characteristics of the connecting rod and forming characteristics of high strength AL6061 aluminum alloy , we can conduct simulation analysis of Closed-die Forging's forming process of 6061 aluminum alloy connecting rod with Deform-3D numerical simulation software,including:(1) Mold design of 6061 aluminum alloy forgings according to the shape of aluminum alloy connecting rod;(2) The simulation analysis of AL6061 aluminum alloy connecting rod's forming process;(3) Analysis of pressure trip curve,blank's flow characteristics, blank's deformation velocity, stress-strain ,strain rate as well as points'defect and tracking.Finally,we verified that the methods and process of numerical analysis about Closed-die Forging's forming process of 6061 aluminum alloy connecting rod are Correct and reasonable ,as well as the directive function of the actual production and research through the experiments.
