FCC slurry contains many condensed aromatics, which can induce coking and scaling by circularly refined. This paper proposes a new method to treat FCC slurry by adsoption . The heavy components like resin and asphaltene in the FCC slurry are removed by the lignite as a adsorbent , and the wax oil can further used as a high-quality catalytic cracking materials. After the absorption, the slurry and adsorbent as a viscous system need to be separated by constant filter .For this, the constant temperature–N2 pressure filtrate separation equipment to be fitting this experiment has been designed and manufactured by ourselves, and the result of separation is well .The adsorptive performance of lignite will be substantial increased by powder removal and sulfonated modification, screening lignite 200mesh. The most appropriate experimental conditions of the FCC slurry treatment with sulfonated lignite as the adsorbent are as follows: the treatment temperature is 260℃, and the time is 3 h. The separation conditions are as follows :the separation pressure is 0.15 MPa and the separation temperature is 170℃. the four-component analysis of the slurry after the treatment indicates that the resin and asphaltene content decreases significantly and the content of saturated hydrocarbons improves. Because the absorption of resin and asphaltene, the lignite calorific value increases by33%, achieve the level of high quality coal. This paper also study the method of methanol dilution and sulfonated lignite adsorption. Methanol as the diluter can decrease the viscosity of the FCC slurry and disperse the adsorbent very well .It also change the force of the components in the FCC slurry and eventrually increase the adsorption rate of heavy component like resin and asphaltene in the sulfonated lignite. The research indicates that the volume ratio between the usage of methanol as the diluter and the FCC slurry is 25%, the adsorption rate will be 63.2%. This paper provides a theoretic and applied reference to the further utilization.
