Brass HPb59-1 is a widely used material, the traditional production process of HPb59-1 cost high energy consumption and with low production efficiency, while continuous extrusion process of HPb59-1 can be regarded as a kind of low energy consumption production patterns. Major research on the paper is focused on the continuous extrusion process of lead brass.Using the high temperature tensile testing machine on HPb59-1 for a high temperature tensile, received the strength value, plasticity and stress-strain curves at different temperature. The curves show that, in the range of 600℃to 700℃, the material has good plasticity low yield strength, and has good machining property. In order to study the material mechanical properties at different tensile rates, three different rates (0.1mm/min, 1mm/min and 2mm/min) at 600℃are conducted on. The results show that, at 1mm/min tensile rate (converted to strain rate 0.02/min) , the material has the best plasticity and suitable for plastic processing.Analysis the force status of billet deformation in the cavity by the use of limit method, derived power consumption of billet in this extrusion deformation process, and the unit pressure on the mold in the export side. On this basis, analysis the material flow regulation and extrusion die angleα. get a suitable extrusion cavity and mold for HPb59-1 depended on it.Some experiments operated in the continuous extrusion machine TJ250, respectively extrusion moment (profile,bar,wire), and get the different quality products. Mechanical properties experiments show that, the extrusion wire fully meet the requirements of GB4425-84 for extruded products. In a comprehensive analysis of the processes used in the experiments (such as extrusion ratio, shape factor of the product, extrusion temperature, bearing length ), obtained conclusion, that is, products'mechanical properties was strengthen by extrusion ratio and was reduced by extrusion temperature, products good quality were obtained through small shape factor;2-3 mm bearing length was proved as good length.
