Springback, which happens after unloading the outside force in the process of sheet metal forming, is inevitable. The precision and assemblility of formed part is imflunced by the quantity of springback. For there are so many facts that influences the springback, it's really difficult to accurately calculate the quantity of springback in theory. Thus the springback forecast in sheet metal forming is of greate importance for optimal forming and improve the quality of stamp products.On the basic theroy of the sheet metal forming, the paper realizes the springback forecast and the optimization of process parameter,by using numerical simulation techniques,artificial neural network, ant colony optimization and computer-related technology.Then by importing the concept of template,it developes the template system that supportes the springback forecast and optimization of process parameters about U-shaped part.The system overcomes lack and limitation of the traditional research methods and bringsanew way.In this paper the following works have been done:Using U-shape part as a case study, applying orthogonal experiment to evaluating the springback angle, the paper employs Dynaform as simulating tool in the study to get different results under the condition of different Blank Holding Force, Friction Coefficient, the Gap between Moulds and Radius of Moulds.The paper constructs artificial neural network to model the relationship of springback angle with various paramters and uses the above results to train the net. Consequently,it gives the relation model for the springback forecast of U-shape part.By applying the ant colony optimization on the model of springback angle and parameters, the study gets an optimal configuration of the paramters.Then it guides the optimization design about the process parameters of U-shape part .The research gets the system framework and the program development model. Through the application of computer related technology, it developes the template system that can achieves the springback forecast and the optimization of process parameters about U-shape part. Finally the paper explains the function and the operation of the template system.And applying the template system ,it analyzes the influence of the springback in defferent process parameters about U-shape part.
