It is important in energy chemical industry that how to translate the methane(main component of natural gas) into methanol as liquid fuel. This dissertation aims at oxidation of methane under low temperature.Cu/ZSM-5 and Cu-Au/ZSM-5 catalysts were prepared and characterized by ICP,XRD, XPS.Catalytic performances of the catalysts were investigated.1.The Cu/ZSM-5 catalyst, was prepared and the metal loading was 2.13%(Cu).The copper was well dispersed on ZSM-5 as copper oxide with an average particle size of 3.6nm.Oxidation of methane could take place at reaction tempareture 60℃over Cu/ZSM-5 catalyst, the reaction can be taken. Under the temperature of 60-150℃and the pressure of 10-20bar the reaction had 100%selectivity to methanol. The yield of methane to methanol was 31% under the condition of 150℃,20bar.2.The Cu-Au/ZSM-5 catalyst, containing 1.92%Cu and 0.11%Au,was prepared. The particles dispersed on ZSM-5 had an average particles size of 6.5nm.Copper oxide and trivalent gold existed in the particles. The existence of gold in the Cu-Au/ZSM-5 catalyst had influence on chemical valence of copper and had the role of improving conversion of methane, accompanying with good selectivity to methanol. The selectivity and yield of methanol were 100%and 43%under the condition of 150℃,20bar.In addition,we did some research about the influence of adding a little gold into this kind of catalyst. Primary discussion were focused on the role of gold in the catalyst.
