With the development of modern industry, the pollution of the environment is one of the most important problems that people must be facing in the 21st century. In China, where lack of water resources, dealing with industrial wastewater is extremely important, especially, coking wastewater.Coking wastewater is a kind of intractable wastewater, which is from the process of coke producing, coal gas purifying and the products recovering. The features of coking wastewater are high concentration of ammonia nitrogen and complicated components influenced by the quality of coal and coking product recovery. The problem of oil in AS processes that the coking plant used affected the operating situation of the ammonia distilling process and sewage treatment facilities and leaded to a series of problems such as the decrease in the removing rate of ammonia nitrogen. It was very difficult to solve this problem under current common methods. Therefore, this study used the characteristics of fine chemicals to deal with the production of ammonia-nitrogen water in AS flow.Based on the present situation of coking plants, the purpose of this study was to provide a new available approach that found a fine chemical to removal oil and ammonia nitrogen from the ammonia water in AS flow by changing the surface properties of the wastewater. The new and effective wastewater treatment technology was provided for the coking wastewater. The experiment adopted"Air Stripping and Adsorption"to remove ammonia nitrogen from the ammonia water, and the best condition of the experiment was studied by considering the reaction temperature T, pH, the time of stripping, the dosage of the fine chemical, and so on. At first, based on the result of orthogonal experiment, it selected the fine chemical which met the demand. The result was indicated that the fine Chemical A1 made the best effect on the wastewater. Then making orthogonal experiment and Single-factor test to find the best condition by"Air Stripping and Adsorption"was: T=90℃, t=90min, Q=4L/min, M=0.016g/L, pH=12. In this condition the removing rate of ammonia nitrogen could reach 99.31 percent. The effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration was about 79mg/L.Fine chemicals for the use of ammonia compared. The results showed that the removal rate of the group added with fine chemicals was still 3% higher than the group without fine chemicals added. when the steaming time was 150min, the ammonia nitrogen removal rate reached 97%. Meanwhile, it was showed that the fine chemical acted on the oil removal when the dosage of fine chemicals, stirring time, holding time were 0.016g/L, 20min, 50min,respectively, the removal rate was 42%.It thus can be seen that the addition of fine chemical had a good performance on removal of oil and ammonia-nitrogen in AS flow, which provided a foundation in future industrial application.
