Gas nitriding is a typical of chemical heat treatment process and still uesd widely in many mechanical manufacturing enterprises.With the Enterprises's requirements higher and higher,accordingly the requirement of gas nitriding process are higher.,for instance the optimum nitriding layer and it's concentration distribution so that obtained good comphensive mechanical properties.If only through amounts of experiments and tests to choose optimum technology parameters and process design,we need to waste a large of money and time. With the development and application of computer widely uesd in heat treatmen process,it is very possible that the computer's virtual production provides useful and reliable information for heat treatment system. Based on the description above,this article carries out numerical simulation and computer control through the gas nitriding process to enhance the quality of nitriding workpiece.This paper first introduces gas nitriding mathematical model and it's establishment,then carries on the partial differential equation through the finite difference method, and the solution of D,β, as well as the heat treatment system ,data acquisition for atmosphere and temperature control and so on. We obtain the performance of model curve and numerical simulation results through the Visual Basic program, accuracy results through the experimental solution.so operaters can own quickly from the convenience under the certain craft condition corresponding infiltrates the layer density distribution and the layer depth. TO verifiy the simulation correctness of model ,we combine crankshafts'nitriding process with simulation model in enterprise practical production to. So that we expext to provides the important reference value for optimized design and the nitiding process.
