As a kind of compound conductive polymer material, Conductive Rubber is made up of two components, the rubber and the electric fillings,so it has both the elasticity of the rubber and the conductivity of the metal fillings. Conductive Rubber can adjust the materials'electricity and mechanics function according to operation requirements within a wide range. It also has many outstanding virtues, such as light weight, easy to process molding, low cost,mature technology and etc. So it has been developed quickly in recent years. As a kind of new functional material, it has been widely used in aerospace, aircraft fabrication, machinery manufacturing industries and medical science, electricity and electronic lines.Recently, with the development of electronic industry, Conductive Rubber has been further applied broadly to make rubber switches, contact rubber, pressure sensors, burning wire core materials, electromagnetic shielding sealing materials and etc. It becomes an important functional material to prop up the basis of high-tech products.Meanwhile, the demand for the electromagnetic shielding sealing materials is enlarged continuously. According to the investigation of American Rubber Sealing Piece Market , the growing rapidity of Electromagnetic Shielding Rubber is the fastest in the Sealed piece markets, and it is widely applied to electronic and communications equipments and devices. Since 2003, the average growing rate per year is 35.2 percent. In England, Dunlop and James Walker Co., which engaged in producing sealing products , are the biggest professional manufacturers in the world. Recently, to satisfy the rigor requirements that brought forward by the departments of national Aviation, Defense and War industry, Dunlop and James Walker Co. had empoldered a series of new high-functional Conductive Rubber.In addition, Electromagnetic Shielding Rubber has also been applied to high-integrated commercial electrons, computers, communications equipments and medical facilities. Thereinto, the EMC and EMI are considered as the two vital important factors. Its typical application area gets involved in communications equipments, microwave wireless devices and CPU control systems. In Japan, BIO FLASH Co. had already put Electromagnetic Shielding Rubber into practice use and carried out several tryouts on some medical electronic equipment.At present, mature products relevant to Electromagnetic Shielding Rubber in China are relatively scanty, which are still focusing on the field of antistatic materials. Therefore, the topic that I select is a very valuable and important research. Through this research, I hope to do some contributions to driving the technological innovations in the field of electromagnetic shielding materials in China.The paper mainly includes:Firstly, the paper rangers over the vulcanizing system of the rubber matrix. By adopting some different vulcanizater and appropriate methodologies, the paper also discusses how to make up distinct formula mix-glue. According to the testing data on base materials about vulcanization characteristic, mechanical property, aging-resistant property, the paper further probes into the relationship among different formula systems, methodologies and materials properties, filtrate and optimize the formula, and make certain the optimally vulcanizater and vulcanization methodology parameters.Secondly, the paper studies the regularities of distribution while adding different electric filling in the rubber matrix. Meanwhile,it discusses how to filtrate the electric filling via the designs of material formula and how to make certain the suitable electric filling via its mechanical and electric properties. In addition, the paper also explains how the electric filling decentralized in the rubber matrix and its electric mechanism via a micro-analysis tool named scanning electron microscope.Thirdly, the paper adopts the combined system of the conductive filling to suffice the requirements of its electric, mechanical and electromagnetic shielding properties. Moreover, by the techniques of surface treatment on the conductive filling, the conductive rubber materials that produced have stable electric property and environmental resistance.Finally , the paper mainly introduces its application of the conductive rubber materials. It focuses on the configuration design of the conductive sealing products and their moulds, and the most important properties of the conductive sealing products, as to sealing property and electromagnetic shielding property. The security testing of sealing property includes raining test, inundating test and shell waterproofing test. According to the specified standard, we made the winding having homologous frequency bands and the overalls , and carried out an experiment on commission. The testing results of electromagnetic shielding property showed pretty satisfied.The research started from 2003, it was an item subsidized by COSTIND. The title of the research was"Study on the special electric sealing materials", and its item number was MKPT-03-080. Hereafter, we carried out a new exploiture on the technical basis of the research. The new item was supported by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. It was named"Study on the special conductive silicone rubber"and was numbered 05zd52006. The research productions had been applied to three types of weapons system, seeing the third attachment in detail. At the same time, we applied and got a domestic patent, its open number was CN101050307. In addition, we succeeded in maping out an enterprise testing standard, its number was Q/AKAD47-2006.After our nearly five years'effort, the technologies that obtained from the research are basical mature. Even though, we need further to improve them. For example, To lower the whole cost of the material and apply it to domestic fields, we need to improve the methodologies and reduce the additive quantity of the conductive fillings.
