CAE of diecasting is a technology,which does numerical simulations on flow and temperature fields of the mold filling and solidification of diecasting. Through analyzing the simulation results,determine the feasibility of die-casting process and the rationality of the various technical parameters. There is a lot of research work for diecasting CAE technologies at home and abroad. Air-entrapped is the most familiar and the most common defect of diecasting. Now-days diecasting CAE technology can qualitatively predict air-entrapped defect by the filling sequence of simulation. Quantitative prediction research is still in a preliminary stage,the purpose of this paper is to study quantitative prediction technology for high pressure diecasting mold filling process.Firstly, this paper has established a mathematical model of the gas flow based on the adiabatic process. Using this model we can get the quality of gas overflow from the cavity through vents during mold filling,realize the purpose of the quantitative prediction of gas. At the same time,combining with the filling simulation technology of CAE/InteCAST, the problem of gas volume in the mathematical model has been solved.Secondly,this paper does a specific deductions of the gas forecast model established,using a simple diecasting as a target. Discusses the impact on air-entrapped of the different casting process parameters,such as the speed of injection and the cross-sectional area of exhaust.Finally,the paper analyzed quantitative prediction of gas in the water test,calculated the quality of the gas from cavity. Applied the gas quantitative forecasting model established in this paper to the actual production of die-casting,quantitatively predicted the gas of the actual casting,and analyzed the final gathering places of the gas entrapped in the cavity. According to the results of the calculation,the paper mapped the Q-T curve showing the gas quality internal cavity change along with time.
