The positive effects of microbial ecological agents on replacing antibiotics, preventing against bacteria infection and improving environment have been widely accepted. The live bacteria preparation widely used today exists many disadvantages, such as short retention period and unstable activity, bringing many difficulties in practical application. Moreover, these questions are more obvious in the microbial ecological agents of animal.Clostridium butyricum Z-10 was isolated from feces of health volunteers by our lab, and the growth characteristics and safety of Clostridium butyricum Z-10 were studied. In this paper, the effects of culture medium, inoculation conditions, pH and culture temperature on the culture and fermentation technology of seed were studied in order to increase the cell concetration and sporulation rate of Clostridium butyricum Z-10.The cultural conditions of Clostridium butyricum Z-10 were optimized through adopting the method of liquid static culture. Culture Clostridium butyricum Z-10 under the conditions and drawn the growth curve of it. On this basis, studied the fermention process of Clostridium butyricum Z-10: Inoculate pH is 7.0, inoculate quantity is 5%, culture temperature is at 38℃;In order to improve the stability of sporulation rate, control the pH during the fermentation process in special stage.Under above fermentation condition, the cells population got to 1.3×109 cfu/mL and the sporulaiton rate got to 61%.
