The geological structure have apparent control on gas hosting and gas gushing (outburst).The geological structure of QiDong coal mine in the north of AnHui province is complex , which is high-gas mine,which threats safety production in coal mining.Based on the analysis of developing characteristics of tectonics in QiDong coal mine,the control effect of geological structure on coal seam gas was deeply researched。By analysis with parameters(intensity of faults ,density of faults, values of fractal dimension of fracture, planar deformation coefficients of folds, contents of gas, thickness of tectonic coals, influence coefficient of effecienct thickness in roof of coal seam) and grey fuzzy evaluation methods,geological structural complexity and hazard of gas disaster was quantitatively evaluated,the data including coal body structure on-site observation and logging interpretation was comprehensively analyzed,Finally, the following achievement and knowledge are obtained:1.The geological structure is dominant factor to gas distribution,and to tectonic coal distribution and its development in QiDong coal mine2.Quantitative assessment indexes of complexity of geologic structure QiDong coal mine are determined, and mathematical models for assessment are constructed, and assessment indexes are statistically analyzed. and the geologic structure complexity of Qidong mine is evaluated quantitatively, and some results are obtained. The tectonics of No.32,61,71 coal seams are more complex. The complex region is basically the place where the twice fold happened. The No.72 coal seam is more complex.3.The detemination of evaluation index on hazard of gas disaster,quantitatively evaluation on hazard of gas disaster by grey fuzzy evaluation methods,delineation scope of different levels,of which71 is hazard coal seam,61 and 32 are less hazard,so as to provide scientific basis for effective government of mine gas disaster.
