The new technology for the polymer emulsion with core-shell structure was develpoed on the base of seeded emulsion polymerization. But not all the seeded emulsion polymerization can get the anticipated core-shell polymer. Studies show that ultimate shape may be regular core-shell structure, anti core-shell structure, anomalistic shapes such as sandwich,strawberry,island. Thermodynamics and dynamics are the basic reasons for the structure of the latex particle.In this paper , the polymer with core-shell structure was synthesized by the semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization. The main contents and results are as follows.Firstly, the composite parts and composite technology of the emulsion polymerization were confirmed. The effects of the different polymerization methods and reaction temperature, emulsifying agent, evocating agent on polymer properities were investigated.As the result showed, the best synthesize conditions of the core-shell polymer were that the polymer with core-shell structure was synthesized by the semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization with reaction temperature70℃; the optimum amounts of DSB,APS were2.5 wt%,lwt% separately basing the dosage of monomers.And in this case, the latex present better stability.The influences of the core-shell emulsion polymerization were researched. The keys of investigation were that emulsifier, initiator, hydrophilicity functional monomer had effects on the core-shell polymer. Thermodynamics analysis and the least interface free energy thory were carried through to forecast composite latex structure and conformation. The structure and conformation were vertified by trassmission electron microscope(TEM).The results showed that we could synthesize various conformation core-shell polymer such as regular core-shell structure and anti core-shell structure. We could control conformation through changing ratio of core-shell monomer and selecting different technology conditions.The polymer was investigated by AFM technology, and the interior structure was observed after heated treatment. It showed that the structure of the latex particle was changed,amalgamated,overturned along with increasing the temperature. The gists can be offered for mechanism on the formation of core-shell morphology. The role of the recombination model of the domains was investigated by using trassmission electron microscope(TEM).
