Every countries try to empolder more energy (such as coal, petroleum and natural gas ) to appease the demand of overpopulation . It result in the energy decrease day by day. Every countries are eager to find a new kind energy that could substitute traditional energy and focus on plant——the most abundant renewable resource on the earth . The subject of research is how to extract the useful element from waste material of the agriculture and forest to product some useful production for people.Hitherto , researchers had already succeeded on extract lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose from waste material of agriculture and forest such as rice hull,bagasse,wood flour etc. Use agriculture and forest waste material to produce products that yield a high added value has some benefit such as the raw material cheap,abundant and the products could be degradated easily. It's the only way to abate the crisis of energy and food supplies by renewable resource cellulose to product ethanol.Untill now the research on Lalang grass rhizome is focused on the pharmacological side , and there is little research on the Themeda . They are usually taken as detrimental grasses to agriculture. Their propagate ability is very strong. It would decrease the output of the crop once they're grow in the farmland. So we take them as object desire to product some products that yield a high added value by the products of the hydrolysate of the grassHydrolyzing the hemicellulose of the Lalang grass rhizome to obtain xylose.We choose sulfuric acid as the catalyst. Then we ascertain the best conditions for the hydrolysis of the hemicellulose in the powdered Lalang grass rhizome by parallel experiment . The hydrolysis time is 6h, the hydrolytic acidity is 3.50%, the solid-liquid ratio is 1:12 .We choose sodium hydroxide as the catalyst to hydrolyze the residue obtain lignin and find out the best conditions for the hydrolysis . The hydrolysis time is 2h, the hydrolytic alkaline is 3%, the solid-liquid ratio is 1:10 , the temperature is 100℃. The best extraction rate is 21.99%We choose sulfuric acid as the catalyst . we obtained the best conditions for the hydrolysis of the cellulose in the residue by parallel experiment . The hydrolysis time is 100min, the hydrolytic acidity is 1.00%, the solid-liquid ratio is 1:10 ,the temperature is 200℃. The best hydrolytic degree of the cellulose is 15.98%.We use the same method to deal with Themeda, and find out the best conditions: 1. use sulfuric acid as the catalyst . the best conditions for the hydrolysis of the hemicellulose in the powdered Themeda by parallel experiment . The hydrolysis time is 3.5h, the hydrolytic acidity is 2%, the solid-liquid ratio is 1:6.2. use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst .the best conditions : The hydrolysis time is 1h, the hydrolytic alkaline is 3%, the solid-liquid ratio is3:16 , the temperature is 100℃.3. use sulfuric acid as the catalyst . the best conditions for the hydrolysis of the cellulose :The hydrolysis time is 100min, the hydrolytic acidity is 1.00%, the temperature is 190℃.We obtained a perfect result of hydrolyzing the hemicellulose in the grass . The result of hydrolyzing lignin and cellulose is not so well as our anticipation . So we need to do more research work to improve it.We analyse the grass from the microscopic view by means of the SEM analysis of the original grass and the by-step reaction dregs. Analysis from the microscopic view is not only intuitive, but also corroborated the accuracy of the experimental results.
