Landfill leachate is a kind of waste water,which component is very complex.It will cause high pollution to the environment if we discharge the landfill leachate directly.In the treatments of landfill leachate,the eletro-flocculate is highed for special attention for that it is easy to operation,has no secondary pollution,and act efficiently.However,in the treatment passivation of the dissolubility metal pole will happen,it leads to high power consumption and low efficiency of the treatment, retricting the large-scale industrial use of this treatment.In this paper,alternating eletro-flocculate was used to process the landfill leachate,investigating the rule of degradation of high and low concentration landfill leachate,respectively.The result is that:the method of alternating eletro-flocculate is useful for high concentration landfill leachate.The best combined condition of the method of alternating eletro-flocculate is that:the time of treatment is 90 min, current density is 6 A/dm2,initial pH is 8,concentration of chloride ion is 8 g/L.In the best condition the COD removal efficiency of the effluent water can be about 65%,and the COD in the effluent water is down to 2600 mg/L.Alternating eletro-flocculate+H2O2 is used to process the low concentration landfill leachate,investigating the influence of the time of treatment,initial pH and the adding amount of H2O2 to the efficiency of the treatment.The result is that: alternating eletro-flocculate+H2O2 can process the low concentration landfill leachate efficiently.In the condition that the time of treatment is 30 min,the initial pH is 4,the H2O2 added is 1000 mg/L,the spacing of electrodes is 1.5 cm,and the current density is 6 A/m2,the highest removal rate of COD is 50%.If we use the method of alternating eletro-flocculate first,and then use the alternating eletro-flocculate+H2O2,the COD removal efficiency of 85%could be gotten.There is no obvious passivation of the dissolubility metal pole in the treatment of landfill leachate with the method of alternating eletro-flocculate.It could get a good result using the method of alternating eletro-flocculate combined with alternating eletro-flocculate+H2O2.And it has the possibility of the large-scale industrialization as a method of treatment of landfill leachate.
