In order to ensure the safe operation of NC machine processing equipment, rational use of automation equipment, to avoid the failure and to ensure the quality of workpiece, reduce the extra auxiliary work time, improve production efficiency and equipment utilization, the condition monitoring on the NC machining have become increasingly important.For the domestic traditional old-fashioned does not have information collection and processing capabilities of the tools status information and NC machine status information of processing , this paper carried out the following research :1. First of all , design a NC machine tools of information collection and processing platform based on embedded system , implementation of the NC machine tools of information collection ,state monitoring and related processing.2. By means of the study of tool wear monitoring methods to determine the indirect method of monitoring of the signal, comparing the various test signals, finally, choose vibration signals for a successful research lay the foundation for tool condition monitoring.3. By means of common NC machine tool status information collected during the study and comparison of various methods, using the serial ports and user's Macro Program manner NC machining process of collecting the state of signals conveniently and effectively.4. For vibration signal analysis and feature extraction parameters, using wavelet theory analysis tools vibration signal, vibration signals can be non-redundant, orthogonal decomposition into the independent frequency band, get the characteristics of tool wear band, by analyzing the changes in the energy band to monitor tool wear states.5. Combination of BP neural network take a theoretical study of tool condition monitoring, proved that tool wear state recognition system based on BP neural network is feasible.
