The adoption of metallurgical slag recycling process can not only recycle steel,but also avoid the waste of land resources,environmental pollution and other problems caused by accumulation of slags.The advantages of wind-quenching Process for high temperature liquid slag are safety,affectivity and maturity.The steel particles produced by wind quenched can be recycled by magnetic screening.It could be used for paving,brick etc.with good economic and environmental benefits.However,the process of wind-quenching produced water vapor,dust,noise and other pollutants.These led to the deterioration of the factory and atmospheric environment.The solution of implement the effective controlling of pollutants in the wind-quenching process has great practical significance to improve the working condition and reduce atmospheric pollution.By analyzing the production of wind-quenching process,this paper had described the mechanism of water vapor,dust and noise in wind-quenching process.It proposed a method to control the pollution by mechanical ventilation,noise sealed enclosures and wet dust collector.It defined the calculating method of the flow of the airtight cover in the process by the hot and air balancing in airtight cover,and it proposed to use spray system to reduce the flow of the system.The paper used the fluid dynamics simulation software called Fluent to simulate the airflow in the airtight cover by k-εturbulence model.The results showed that the flow of the gap on the airtight cover is the lowest when the symmetrical air vents set in x=16000mm location,and the method to solve some of the negative leakage location simply by raising the amount of exhaust flow is not economical.The simulation of the swirling flow in a long tube by the RSM turbulence model showed that the swirling flow can change the characteristics of pipe flow,and make the flow and the heat transfer boundary layer thinning.By the comparisons of different inner core structure and inner core end,the results showed that the inner core with the cone end which length of L = 2D,inner core diameter,R = 1/2D can enhanced the decaying swirling flow best. By engineering applications examples,it showed that the joint using of noise sealed enclosures,rotating pipe flow and horizontal cyclone dust collector can be realized on the controlling of the pollutants in the wind-quenching slag treatment process.It reached the desired treatment effect.And it has a certain reference value to the same type of process.
