Many forming defects exist in rubber fluid forming, such as rupture, wrinkling and springback. The springback defect directly affects the size precision of the sheet metal. The springback of sheet metal is the accumulative effect of the entire history, it has a relationship with many factors, such as mold shape, material properties and process conditions. Using the methods of forming experiment and finite element numerical simulation, the springback for the straight flanging with joggle and the shrink flanging with subsidence in rubber fluid forming are explored and studied, and provides the basis of the design of the mold with springback amendment.By forming experiment, paper researches the influence of different pressures and different bending orientations on the springback for the straight flanging sheet metal with joggle and the shrink flanging sheet metal with joggle. Experimental results show that: With the increases of pressure, the springback angle decreases for the straight flanging sheet metal without joggle and with joggle. The springback angle for straight flanging sheet metal with joggle is less than without joggle. With the increases of pressure, the springback angle decreases for shrink flanging sheet metal with joggle. The springback angle in joggle zone is less than in without joggle zone. The springback angle withθ=90°is more than withθ=0°for the straight flanging sheet metal with joggle and the shrink flanging sheet metal with joggle.Paper researches the influence of different pressures and different bending orientations on the springback for the straight flanging sheet metal with joggle and the shrink flanging sheet metal with joggle by finite element numerical simulation. Simulation results show that: the springback of sheet metal decreases with the increasing of pressure in rubber forming. Using the thickness changes,stress changes and strain changes after the springback of sheet metal, paper analyzes and discusses the cause of springback and the distribution of the springback angle.Empirical springback data, experimental springback data and simulation springback data are analyzed and discussed. The results show: The empirical springback data is bigger than experimental springback data, and the experimental springback data is bigger than simulation springback data.The study on sheet metal springback in rubber forming provides the reference in the control of springback and the design of mold with springback amendment to achieve savings in production costs and shorten the purposes of production cycle.
