In this dissertation,end-functionalized poly(tert-butyl methacrylate)(Pt-BMA) with cholesteryl group was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) using propionate Cholesteryl as initiator,CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″-Penta-methyldiethylenetriamine(PMDETA)as catalyst system,the solvent was toluene and the reaction temperature was 85℃in oil bath.The first order kinetic experiments showed that the molecular weight of polymer and conversion were linear against time increasing,and distribution of molecular weight(Mw/Mn) was close to 1.31.IR,NMR and GPC were used to analysis the structure of product.In addition,under the room temperature,end-functionalized poly(tert-butyl methacrylate) with cholesteryl was hydrolyzed in COOHCF3.IR of product showed that end-functionalized PMAA with cholesteryl group was successfully synthesized.
