The magnesium alloy is the quality lightest structural material, it has the good electrical conductivity,the thermal conductivity,the electromagnetism shielding property, the compression casting etc.The magnesium alloy may apply in the electron,the automobile,the aviation,and astronautics needs to be lightweight with the environmental protection request domain. But in practical application,magnesium alloy has own shortcoming:Constrained by poor corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy to become a major obstacle to wider application.Because the chemical properties of magnesium lively,the corrosion potential of magnesium and its alloys very low(-2.36V),it is very easy prone to severe corrosion.In order to make magnesium alloy to allow wider application fields.To improve its corrosion resistance has become one of the important research topics our country and other developed countries.To improve the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys in addition to the magnesium alloy matrix elements of content than of the adjustment, The appropriate surface treatment can also increase the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys,there are many Surface treatment methods in the word. This article focuses on the chemical nickel plating method for two kinds of magnesium alloy that is manganese-magnesium alloys,a kind of rare earth magnesium alloy surface treatment, thus come to a conclusion with the optimum conditions and two kinds of magnesium alloy corrosion resistance parameters.Through the experiment get a relatively simple process in two different magnesium alloy substrate to form a layer of phosphorus alloy layer of content 8%. Binding detected by the thermal shock test Electric polarization curve shows that this layer of coating corrosion potential reached a -0.64 V.And have a clear area of the passivation.Diagram analysis by SEM.The coating structure comes to Dense get the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys has been improved.
