With the rapid development of economic society and the boosting of industrialization and city-country construction over the past several years, the demand for water in daily life has been gradually increasing. Meanwhile, what's also increasing is the sewage discharged during life and production, among which that from unban and rural residents accounts for a large proportion. For the current urban sewage treatments, the relatively commenly used is the land treatment method, and CRI system proposed by Zhong Zuosheng in CUGB was proved to be an effecitve, convenient and highly feasible teatment process method by frequent practical project applications. However,CRI system has the shortcomings of blocking and ineffective treatments to high-ammonia life sewage. On account of the above shortcomings, the paper mainly researches on the operation of three-stage series CRI system proposed on the basis of traditional CRI system process, and its treatment of high-ammonia sewage in student life, as well as the observation of three-stage-series-CRI system treatment of high-ammonia sewage and the analysis on the variation pattern of microbial population distribution within its system. The aim is to strive for an explanation of the improvement that the new three-stage series design produced to the traditional CRI system from the microcosmic perspective.Experiental results show that the improved three-stage-series CRI's removal rate for COD, ammonia nitrogen, TN is 76.95%, 94.47% and 47.38%. Compared with traditional CRI system, the removal rate is respectively increased by 3.14%, 4.47% and 20.7%, with the highest removal rate being on TN. The concentration of final effluent pollutants, except that of TN, can all meet the secondary standard of"Comprehensive Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants"(GB18918-2002)Analysis results of microbial distribution show that the three series CRI system ,due to its adoption of new reoxygenation way, the total number of aerobic bacteria near surface in every sub-system is larger than traditional CRI system, making nitrification more complete, having ammonian removal rate increased, and providing prerequisites for denitrification. And the third-level sub-system, through rasing water level and settingsaturation zone, controls the concentration of DO, so that the number of denitrification bacteria is significantly increased, strengthening denitrification and that the resulting complexity of strains create conditions for the functioning of simultaneous nitrification and denitrification. And all these factors will influence and contribute to the removal of TN, ultimately having the removal rate of TN, compared to traditional CRI system, greatly improved.
