The sintering gas in the steel industry contains a great deal of dust and water, some SO2 and other exhaust. According to these characteristics, the dust removal technology and the desulfurization technology were combined in this paper, and the conception of removing the dust and sulfur dioxide synchronously by pulse corona discharging technology was proposed.The dedusting and desulfurization experimental equipment with a rotating reticulate plate was designed. The structure of the equipment is single chamber and single field. The dust and sulfur dioxide can be removed synchronously by pulse corona discharging in it.By analyzing the dedusting efficiency in different experimental conditions, the major factors affecting dedusting and desulfuration efficiency were found as follows: the voltage, the velocity and temperature of the gas, the type and distance of the corona wire, the velocity of the rotating plate and so on. When the voltage is 40 kV, the dedusting efficiency will be 92 %; When the velocity of the gas is 1~1.2 m/s and the distance between the corona wires is 90~105 mm, the dedusting efficiency is high. When the velocity of the rotating plate is 0.016~0.078 m/s, the dedusting efficiency is improved by 0.2~5 %. The more sharppointed corona wires, the better dedusting effect.The software Fluent was applied to simulate the interior fluid field and particle trajectory of the equipment. By changing the structure parameters of the equipment, the different results of the particle trajectory and the gas-flow distribution in the equipment was obtained. Thus the analyzed results can provide some theoretical basis for the improvement of the equipment. The experimental and simulated results are identical.By analyzing the desulfurization efficiency in different experimental conditions, the major factors affecting dedusting and desulfuration efficiency were found as follows: the power types, the voltage, the velocity of the gas, the ratio of the NH3 and SO2, the Steam flow, the temperature and so on. When the velocity of the gas is 1.0 m/s, the ratio of the NH3 and SO2 is 1~2.5 m3/h,the desulfurization efficiency will be improved by 10 %. When the velocity of the rotating plate is 0.016~0.078 m/s, the desulfurization efficiency is improved by 2 %.The equipment can remove the dust and sulfur dioxide simultaneously. So the technics will be much easier, the energy exhaust will be lower. There is a better application foreground for the equipment.
