Polymer-layered silicate nanocomposite materials have continuously attracted intensive and extensive interests, compared with virgin polymer or conventional micro- and macro-composite, polymer-layered silicate nanocomposite materials have high module, superior mechanical and thermal properties, low gas permeability and flammability, increased biodegradability of biodegradable polymers and heat distortion temperatures.P(AN-VAc-PMMT) composite material is researched in the paper. A kind of polymerizable quaternary ammoniums salt monomer is successfully synthesized, which is intercalated into montmorillonite layer on-chip and used in modification montmorillonite by cation exchange reaction to prepare the polymerizable montmorillonite (PMMT) in this paper. It can be seen that quaternary ammonium ion has been successfully to exchange into the montmorillonite-chip layer through XRD experimental test. P(AN-VAc-PMMT) composite is prepared through emulsion polymerization, in which the mass ratio of AN: VAc is 9:1 for non-variable and the quality of PMMT is changed. The microstructure of composite materials is characterized by TEM and SEM, the type of intercalated structure of composite material is analyzed by XRD, and the thermal decomposition temperature of composite material is tested by DSC. The test results show that the microstructure of composite material was 150 nm nano-microspheres, the type of the composite changes from exfoliated structure to intercalated structure, and thermal decomposition temperature of the composite is increased with the increase of the content of PMMT. P(AN-VAC-PMMT) nanofiber is also prepared with a method of electrospinning in the experiment. The various factors that affect the electrospinning results is discussed, which the average fiber diameter first decreases and then increases as the voltage increase under a fixed spinning distance, decreased with increasing spinning distance in the case of fixed voltage, and increased with the capillary diameter increases.
